About

ABOUT ME

Hailing from the land of corn, I grew up simply… with my 9 brothers and sisters, that is. Watching movie musicals from an early age eventually brought me to New York City to study musical theatre performance AMDA. Since graduation I have had the opportunity to perform on tour, in international waters, regionally, and at Carnegie Hall.

When not performing I enjoy traveling the world, playing my ukulele (Genevieve), snuggling with her Netflix, and catching up with her best friend: ice cream.

Traveling is my favorite past time, having visited 48 states in the US and 5 continents. These days you can find me planning my next backpacking trip: trekking the Arctic Circle Trail in Greenland!

"(Rebecca Lee) Whitcomb is sensational in the starring role of Belle. She sells every line and every note with feeling and emotion. Her realistic reactions to the words and actions of the other characters help convey Belle's personality, making her a thoroughly likeable central protagonist. Whitcomb's strong stage presence and tight stage chemistry with the multiple cast members with whom she sings duets helps bring total authenticity to this character." - Sean Fallon, Broadway World

"(Rebecca Lee) Whitcomb is engaging as the beautiful Belle who has a thirst for life and is looked upon as being odd by her neighbors because she reads books. She sings beautifully bringing deep emotions to her songs especially her two major solos..." - Macey Levin, Berkshire on Stage

"I would be re-miss if I did not mention that I overheard many people talk about getting goose bumps every time Rizzo (Rebecca Lee Whitcomb) hit the stage." - Scott Rawson, Broadway World
